Offers, Feedback and Enquiries

When the interviews are finished, we'll collate all applicants' scores to produce a single ranking.

We'll then make offers based on ranking and preferencing.

Offers

Offers will be based upon your rank and preference. The allocation to a training unit will depend on the ranking you achieve as a result of your virtual interview performance and validated self assessment score.

You will be given 48 hours excluding weekends and bank holidays in which to accept, hold or reject an offer. Once all offers have been accepted, the details of the successful applicants will be available via Oriel to the regions with the vacancies.

Enquiries

Any further enquiries should be made to recruitment team via the support desk.

Receiving feedback

You will be given feedback after each stage of recruitment. This includes:

• Longlisting/eligibility checked, if unsuccessful
• Shortlisting, if applicable
• Interview/selection centre

Interview/selection centre feedback should be given no later than 7 days after the national offer deadline. Where available, the feedback will include:

• Individual scores per interview station
• Total interview/selection score
• Maximum interview/selection score available
• Your appointability and the minimum score required for appointability, as appropriate
• Your individual ranking

Please note, if you do not reach the required threshold for appointability, you will not be given a rank.

Copies of scoresheets with panellist comments will be sent as PDFs to you.

References and pre-employment checks

You will be asked to provide details of three referees on your online application. If you accept an offer, we will request references through Oriel and share them with the employing trust. The offer will be conditional upon satisfactory references and completion of all other pre-employment checks.

Deferment can only be considered on statutory grounds such as maternity leave or ill health, as stated in the Dental Gold Guide.

Deferment for any other reason will not be permitted.

Appeals

With the exception of the self assessment appeals process, it is not possible to appeal the scores you are awarded or the outcome of any part of the recruitment process. If you have evidence that the published recruitment process has not been followed correctly, the Complaints Policy and Procedure should be followed.

Complaints

However hard we try to respond to the wishes and aspirations of the healthcare professionals accessing our recruitment services, we do recognise that, on occasion, our service may fall short of expectations.

Confidential concerns

If you have a concern that falls outside of the national complaints policy such as, fraudulent submissions by other applicants you can confidentially email the Training Programmes Recruitment team.

This address cannot be used as a way of raising a complaint and bypassing the process detailed in the complaints policy.

Probity process

The probity process may be actioned for a variety of reasons including when the veracity of the information contained in an applicant's application form or documentation provided at interview is brought into question.

Withdrawing from the recruitment process

You may withdraw from the recruitment process at any time up until offers are released through your Oriel account. Once you have withdrawn your application it cannot be reinstated.

Once an offer has been accepted, if you wish to withdraw your application, you will need to contact the recruitment office directly.
