Selection criteria
- i Temporary GDC registrants are not able to take up posts in Dental foundation training
- ii For overseas applicants, please note we must confirm through your application and before offers are released that you have passed Part 2 of the Overseas Registration Exam (ORE) and Licence in Dental Surgery Part 3 (LDS). As per UK Government legislation, the GDC will continue to recognise EEA-qualified dentists under a near-automatic system. For more information view the GDC website.
- iii Evaluated by employer
- iv Language checks are completed by the GDC as part of the GDC registration process. All Dental Foundation applicants must have full registration with the GDC before the start of the training programme (1 September 2027)
- v Applications will only be considered if they complete a Support for Reapplication to a Training Programme form, signed by both the Associate Dental Dean and the Postgraduate Dean.
- vi Any time periods specified in this person specification refer to full-time-equivalent
- vii All experience in posts at any level in dentistry count, irrespective of the country the experience is gained
- viii Applicants with twelve months or more experience are eligible to apply via the foundation equivalence route [www.copdend.org]
